The 43-year-old Nigel Page who lives with his partner Justine Laycock, 40, and their three children in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, came forward with the winning EuroMillions ticket on Saturday. They shared a £113 million jackpot with the holder of one other ticket, which was bought in Spain. There is speculation that this other winner could also be British as it was bought in the town of Mojacar, where there are many expatriates. They have yet to come forward to claim the prize.
The lucky combination 1;5;18;38;45, lucky stars 4 and 6 was played by Nigel via Lucky Dip facility! Same way as Les Scadding, 58, from Newport, South Wales. The payout is tax free and eclipses the £91million that was split between Les Scadding and a syndicate from Liverpool last year.
Nigel's and Justine's good fortune has catapulted the couple to 980th place on Britain's rich list.
