Surprisingly no Lotto win, so it's Lotto Rollover!

25 June 2009
Last night's combination 10;17;20;21;23;31 generated no jackpot winner despite all its numbers being below 31 (a lot of people choose their lucky lottery combination based on their birthdays, and birthdays of their loved ones). So it's Lotto rollover, all the best everyone!

Low Lottorino and no jackpot winner

29 January 2009
Wednesday 28 January 2009 Lotto combination of 4;29;37;39;40;43 was downgraded to 5% by Lottorino as the sum of its numbers (192) was equal to the sum of numbers from the previous draw.
.
There were only three instances (or 0.16%) in the history of the UK National Lottery when the sum has repeated from the last draw.

No jackpot has been won, so it's a Rollover! All the best, everyone!

Low numbers, low Lottorino, low jackpot

4 September 2008
Yesterday's combination 3;5;7;9;24;35 scored Lottorino of 10% due to its skeweness towards low numbers, its low sum of 83, and 4 symmetricaly chosen numbers (3-5-7-9). As expected, such combination was played by many, hence the prizes got divided into many shares, with jackpot generating £448k to each winner and second prize generating only £19k.

Frequent wins recently

28 August 2008
6 out of 10 recent Catchalotto syndicates had a winning combination! That's luck above its average! Let's hope that the trend continues and we manage to trap a jackpot! Yesterday's combination 8;14;33;34;35;43 scored Lottorino of 22% due to sum of its numbers (167) being equal to the sum of numbers from previous Wednesday's draw (1;29;32;33;34;38). This happened seldomly in the past lottery draws, hence a Lottorino downgrade for this combination.

Both lotto combinations were biased, hence low Lottorino

26 June 2008
Yesterday's combination 11;12;22;23;24;36 as well as Saturday's combination 8;9;11;16;18;22 both scored low Lottorino mainly as they both had narrow spread (i.e. difference between first and last balls). Such combinations are favourite with lottery players and the jackpout is usually won by a few. Indeed, this was the case for both draws. Yesterday, for example, the jackpot was shared amongst 10 people, each winning £235,588 (way below the average jackpot payout).

Good Lottorino run so far this year

7 June 2008
Since the start of 2008, all lottery combinations have scored high Lottorino scores, meaning that they all appear NOT to have any non-random biases. Let's hope this trend continues and keep on playing combinations with high Lottorino!

Lottorino of 53% due to all numbers being even

11 May 2008
Yesterday's combination 4;14;18;24;32;40 scored 53% by Lottorino as all numbers were even and 3 numbers ended on 4. Remember, the point of validating your combination via Lottorino is to play combinations that seem not to have any bias/patterns.

Catchalotto's first anniversary

30 March 2008
Today Catchalotto celebrated its 1st anniversary. In the first year, 108 Catchalotto syndicates have been created that played a total of 1,051 lottery combinations. If you joined each Catchalotto syndicate in that time, you would have spend £144. If, however, you played all combinations on your own you would have spend £1,051! Needless to say, this is the beauty of a lottery syndicate - you play at much better odds whereas your cost base is kept at bay!

Trends of 2007 keep on going

2 January 2008
Tonight's lottery result: 13;15;25;31;37;39. Lottorino devalued this combination to 47% mainly because it contained no even numbers, rare occurrence in the past (1.1% of time).

Notice how in the news published on the 29-Dec-07, we said that the most frequent numbers for 2007 were 13;25;39. It seems that the trend continues! This just goes to show that some numbers do have a higher than average hit rate!
