Syndicate’s details

All syndicates are formed for the UK National Lottery main Lotto draw.

Each Catchalotto syndicate is assigned with a Name, a Type, a Size, a Date and a Time fields which altogether form the unique identity of the syndicate.

The Name field gives everyone an easier way to remember which syndicate they joined. They are usually named after galaxies, stars, planets etc. (if each combination = star and each syndicate = galaxy, then Catchalotto = the Universe of lottery syndicates!)

The Type field can either be Standard or Intuitive. The latter is prepopulated with combinations chosen as a result of our analysis and wheeling activities. For further information please see below as well as refer to the rule#5 in the golden rules section.

The Size field is split into two. The current size shows the number of combinations that have been played within the syndicate so far whilst the max size shows the maximum number of combinations permitted within the syndicate.

The Date field shows the official draw date that a syndicate is assigned to.

The Time field shows the point after which no more entries will be allowed into the syndicate. The closing time can vary across syndicates even if such syndicates are assigned to the same draw date.

In addition, each syndicate has its own syndicate agreement. No member is allowed to join a syndicate without agreeing to its syndicate's agreement.

Two types of syndicates

Unlimited syndicates

This type of syndicate allows for unlimited number of people to join. Because of its nature, the size of this syndicate will fluctuate from one draw to another.

If you believe that the more numbers and combinations are played for any one draw, the better are the chances of trapping the winning combination, this is the syndicate for you.

Such syndicates will have status “Join” until their relevant closing time.

Limited syndicates

If you prefer a smaller syndicate with an upper limit on the number of entries, then this type of syndicate may appeal to you. Limited syndicates have a fixed number of combinations allowed, i.e. they have an upper limit (also known as “cap” or “ceiling”) and are filled on a first come first served basis. Once a syndicate reaches its limit, its status will switch from “Join” to “Full” and no other entries will be permitted.

You will be able to see the upper limit of combinations allowed as well syndicate’s current size (i.e. number of combinations that have been played within this syndicate so far) before you make your decision to join. Please bear in mind that due to the dynamic nature of this Site, the syndicate population may change drastically in a short period of time. It may actually reach its ceiling by the time you submit your combination. In such cases you will need to reselect a syndicate to join.

Syndicate's status

Join status speaks for itself: the syndicate is available for joining. When the syndicate is about to become Full (i.e. soon to reach its maximum size), it will be displayed in red.

Full status appears when the syndicate reaches its maximum size but not its closing time.

Awaiting status will apply once the closing time to join the syndicate has passed. The official draw is either to take place or it has taken place but the official draw operator has not yet published the prize figures needed to start the distribution of winnings.

Cleared status means that all syndicate’s winnings have been distributed to My Balance section of its winners. The syndicate is officially closed.

Uncleared status means that all or some of syndicate’s winnings are still to be distributed to its winners. This will mainly apply to greater prizes which take longer time to be received as per the rules set by the official draw operator. Each winner can see the amount due to him/her in the Uncleared Funds within My Balance page.
